On 10th of June, the AI4LUNGS team participated in the Roundtable Session on “Common Challenges of AI Strategies-Related EU/HaDEA Funded Projects”, organised by PREPARE Rehab. This hybrid event, held in collaboration with several EU-funded projects, was hosted by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and brought together experts from across Europe to discuss the challenges and innovations in developing AI-powered tools for healthcare.
AI4LUNGS was represented by the Project Coordinator Hélder P. Oliveira and Duarte Dias, who shared insights into the hurdles and breakthroughs in AI-health projects. Dissemination Leader Thanos Arvanitidis from Future Needs attended the event physically to network with other participants.

AI4LUNGS is honoured to be part of the conversation alongside with several EU-funded projects, including Microb-AI-ome, SPIDeRR, STRATA-FIT, STRATIF-AI, TARGET, CoMPaSS-NMD, and COMFORT-EU. All these initiatives are focused on creating AI tools that classify patients based on their risk of disease or response to therapy, ultimately enhancing the quality of care.
