On 19 March from 13:00 to 15:00, AI4LUNGS will launch its series of Awareness Workshops with the session “Bringing AI4LUNGS Into Clinical Practice Using Cancer Registry Data from Norway.”

The workshop is organised by the Cancer Registry of Norway and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) and will bring together stakeholders interested in the future of digital innovation in healthcare.

Exploring the Role of Cancer Registry Data in AI-Driven Healthcare

Cancer registries hold valuable health data that can support research, improve patient care, and help develop innovative digital health solutions. In this workshop, participants will explore how cancer registry data could support the integration of AI tools into clinical practice, and discuss why this is not yet fully possible today.

The session will introduce the AI4LUNGS project, its goals, and the potential impact it could have on lung cancer care and digital health innovation. It will also create space for dialogue, inviting patients, clinicians, researchers, and other stakeholders to share perspectives and discuss opportunities and challenges related to the use of health data in research and healthcare systems.

Workshop Agenda

The workshop will include presentations and interactive discussions:

  • Introduction to the AI4LUNGS project – Jan F. Nygård

  • Breakout discussions with participants – Siri Larønningen

  • Plenary reflections and next steps

These sessions aim to encourage open conversation about how health data can be used responsibly and effectively to support innovation in healthcare.

🇳🇴 Please note that the workshop will be held in Norwegian.

We warmly invite patients, healthcare professionals, researchers, and anyone interested in digital health and cancer research to join the conversation.

If you would like to participate, please reach out to Siri Larønningen.
